Who we are

This shop is operated by Ear Care Clinic Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 11201328, registered office 183-189 The Vale, London, W3 7RW, United Kingdom. You can reach us at info@earcareclinic.com.

Prices and VAT

All prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay for the goods. Ear Care Clinic Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and no VAT invoice can be issued. If you are VAT registered yourself, there is nothing on our invoices for you to reclaim. We mention this plainly because it matters to how you account for the purchase.

Delivery is charged separately and is shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.

How an order is made

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm the order has been dispatched, not when you receive the order acknowledgement. If we cannot fulfil an order, or a price or description was wrong, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Who our products are for

Most of what we sell is intended for use by healthcare professionals who are trained and competent in ear examination and wax removal. Instruments used in the ear canal can cause injury in untrained hands, including damage to the ear drum and to the canal skin.

By ordering, you confirm that you are either a suitably trained professional, or are buying on behalf of one. Deciding whether a product is appropriate for a given patient, and using it safely, is a clinical judgement and it remains yours. Nothing on this site is clinical advice or training.

Product information and regulatory status

The single-use ear instruments and consumables we sell are medical devices, CE marked under the EU Medical Device Regulation 2017/745 and accepted for sale in Great Britain. Their legal manufacturer is a UK company certified to ISO 13485 and carrying product liability insurance. Where a product page shows a regulatory status section, we hold the declaration of conformity for that product and will supply a copy on request.

We describe every product as accurately as we can, and we set out pack sizes, sizes and materials on each page. Photographs are for illustration. Manufacturers occasionally change a specification or a pack; where that happens we update the page, but the goods you receive may differ in small details from the picture.

Single use

Items described as single use are for one patient on one occasion. They are not designed to be cleaned, disinfected or re-sterilised, and reprocessing them risks cross-infection and a damaged working end. We cannot accept any responsibility for the consequences of reusing a single-use device.

Product safety and recalls

Our supplier holds batch traceability down to the individual order for the instruments and consumables we sell. If the manufacturer issues a field safety notice or recalls a batch, we will contact you directly using the email address and telephone number on your order, so please keep those current and keep your order number with your stock records. If a device fails or causes harm, stop using it, keep it, and tell us as soon as you can. Healthcare professionals should also report device incidents to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or, where you are buying for a business, for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or lost opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your login details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them. We may suspend or close an account that is being misused.

Network member pricing

Ear Care Clinic network members receive a discount, which is applied at checkout once you are signed in to the account linked to your membership. The discount applies while the membership is current, and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so.

Events outside our control

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by something outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, supplier failure and severe weather. We will tell you as soon as we can and, if the delay is significant, you may cancel and be refunded in full.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.

Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
